Laughing child with braces

For the very young

Early treatment

Often we can do a lot for health and dental development with very simple appliances. Later corrections may even become unnecessary.

When is early treatment worthwhile?

Has your dentist noticed a crossbite, a pronounced overbite or excessive growth of the lower jaw in your child? Have baby teeth had to be removed? Or is a sucking habit proving stubborn? Then a visit to the orthodontist is worthwhile as early as kindergarten age or the start of school.

Typical reasons for early treatment

  • Crossbite (lateral or frontal)
  • Greatly increased overbite with risk of injury to the front teeth
  • Protruding lower jaw (prognathism)
  • Open bite caused by thumb sucking or dummies
  • Early loss of baby teeth and impending lack of space

Little effort, great effect

We can often do a lot for health and dental development with very simple appliances. With plenty of patience, great experience and empathy we look after your child optimally during this phase, so that the first contact with orthodontics is a positive experience.
